Over the last decade, Eichhorn has made significant strides toward showing that the quantum laws likely do stop changing around the Planck scale, just as Weinberg suspected. She has also connected Planck-scale physics with physics at scales that are easier to study — a famously challenging task for anyone working with a theory of gravity at the smallest levels.
